In Robbin’s practice the “body” is viewed as a reflection of all that is “within” each of us, which includes our thoughts, attitudes, feelings and beliefs. Her intention is to gently assist clients to recognize that the body has a natural intelligence that when explored can offer a new depth of self-understanding and awareness. Come learn and strengthen your ability to connect and listen to your bodies’ innate wisdom to feel at “home”, allowing for more ease, fulfillment and purpose in your daily life”

Descriptions of Modalities

Body-centered (Somatic) Coaching and Bodywork

60 minutes $85/ 90 minutes $125

The word “somatic “ comes from the Greek word “soma” meaning the living body in its entirety—muscles, tissues, motions, breath, movement, sensations, emotions and feelings. Somatic Coaching uses practices of body awareness, diverse types bodywork, movement and mindfulness practices to assist and guide in releasing held patterns in the body creating more freedom to be ones “true self” with more ease.

Recovery Coaching

60 minutes $85/ 90 minutes $125 (sliding scale available)

This is a person-centered strength based support for persons struggling with an addiction or strengthening their recovery. For those who wish to have additional support in the recovery process from alcohol, drugs or other substances. Recovery coaching accelerates the individuals’ progress in recovery by creating greater focus and awareness of choices, actions, and personal responsibility. Coaching focuses on where the client is now and the process of moving forward with the “next right step”.

Rosen Method Bodywork

60 minutes $85/ 90 minutes $125

A quote from my Rosen Method Teacher and mentor, Sandra Wooten that describes the work, “Respectful touch allows changes to begin on the inside and move outward at a pace that matches an individual’s own rhythm. The result is an “unfolding”. Rather than attempting to fix someone and make them different, it is a process of gently showing people to themselves—reflecting their true being, their integrity and aliveness”.

Rosen Method uses gentle direct touch to listen to the body and responsive words that allow a person to become aware of the happenings in their body and how the body reacts to everything around them. Research of this modality by Dr. Alan Fogel has shown enhanced physical health, increased body awareness, reduction of depressed feelings, anxiety and stress: lower perceived levels of pain and fatigue: support for personal growth and increase in ability to self-initiate life changes and transitions.

Biofeedback for Resiliency and Wellness

60 minutes $85/ 90 minutes $125

Biofeedback is a process of gaining greater awareness physiological functions using instruments that provide information of what is happening in the body and then using this information to improve and balance systems of the body. This process enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity to improve physical and emotional health.

The technique uses precise instruments that measure heart function, breathing, muscle activity and skin temperature in conjunction with relaxation techniques and games. An individual soon realizes that they have some say in what is occurring in their body when they previously did not. Benefits to individuals with anxiety, headaches, digestive issues, pain control, personal mindfulness and growth.

Mental Health in Family Medicine Journal gives the definition of biofeedback as “a body-mind technique in which individuals learn how to modify their physiology for the purpose of improving physical, mental emotional and spiritual health”
